Come and join the Fire! Fenom Fire is Westchester’s up and coming youth basketball program. Fenom offers travel basketball programs for grades 3 through 8, in-house basketball leagues for 2nd and 3rd graders as well as clinics for kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade.

All basketball programs run in three season cycles (fall, winter, and spring) and seasons run between 10-12 weeks. Participants will engage in games and tournaments at both on and off-site facilities.

All fenom basketball programs are run and overseen by experienced and accomplished local coaches who focus on fundamental skills development, teamwork, and overall basketball IQ.

The Fenom Fire are the reigning House of Sports and Hooperstown 2017 Winter Champions and were invited to attend nationals this past spring. Be sure to try out for one of our scorching teams today or contact us for more detail about clinics and programs throughout the school year.

The Fenom Fire Youth Basketball Program is excited to announce what's in store for Fall 2019. The season will begin September 9th and will run through November 26th. Returning for the 2019 season are Fenom's popular coaches Marty Durkin, Kevin Miller, Spencer Ingram, Manny Gago and new assistant coaches. The Fall 2019 season will consist of up to 16 Boys and Girls teams.

The Fenom Fire Travel Program is our featured basketball experience, with tryouts mandatory for consideration for placement on all teams. All Fenom Fire travel teams will have up to 12 players per team and all participants will practice twice per week with a 60-minute practice and a 90-minute practice. Each team will be entered into five tournaments throughout each season. Each tournament weekeend will consist of a minimum of three games (not including any playoff or champtionship games). The Fenom Fire travel program participates in the Zero Gravity, Live City and Queens Pythons tournament circuits. Tournament locations vary and are within the tri-state area. Detailed tournment information will be released by Fenom using the GameChanger and TourneyMachine apps. Dates, times and details will be announced at the beginning of the season.

Our popular In-House League does not require tryouts. Participants will be required to attend a once-a-week practice, with up to five tournament dates on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. All participants will recieve official Fenom Fire jerseys and will be placed accordingly based on skill level on to six different teams. All Fenom basketball teams and programs are run and overseen by outstanding coaches Marty Durkin, Kevin Miller, Spencer Ingram and Manny Gago. Coach Marty Durkin, who has spent the last 30 years coaching youth and highschool basketball is the Fenom Fire's head coach and mentor to all of the other already experienced coaches. Our coaching staff believes in teaching overall fundamental skills and learning the game from the ground up.


Coach Spencer Ingram has been working with young players for over 15 years. With a focus on transforming players into dynamic team members with exceptional skills, he creates innovative methods of teaching that reach players of all levels. Coach Spencer has an uncanny ability to break down skills for each player, to help them understand the game and bring each player to a higher level of play. His experience is vast even coaching on a Varsity level. Coach Spencer has a background in working with students who have special needs. This experience brings a level of compassion to his coaching style. He builds players confidence through competitive team building which is essential for learning and excelling at the game of basketball.


Coach Kevin has played and coached basketball beginning at the youth, high school and college level. With a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Adelphi University, Kevin began his coaching profession as the Assistant Student Coach at Adelphi University. For over 24 years Kevin has organized and coached developmental leagues in Australia, the U.S. - specifically the Upward Basketball League in Snellville, Georgia. In Addition, he is well known for coaching in his hometown, New Rochelle, NY, where he was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame (Remington Boys & Girls Club). Currently, you can find Kevin working with players Grades 1st through 6th for the Fenom Fire Basketball program.


Manny has been coaching Fenom Fire teams for several seasons. He currently coaches the 3rd Grade Blue team, 4th Grade Black team and 7th Grade Orange team. He also conducts a 7th Grade Basketball Skills clinic once a week.
